Fashion photographer Dick Avery (Fred Astaire), in search for an intellectual backdrop for an air-headed model, expropriates a Greenwich Village bookstore. When the photo session is over the store is left in a shambles, much to salesgirl Jo Stockton's (Audrey Hepburn) dismay. Avery stays behind to help her clean up. Later, he examines the photos taken there and sees Jo in the background of one shot. He is intrigued by her unique appearance, as is Maggie Prescott (Kay Thompson), the editor of a leading fashion magazine. They offer Jo a modeling contract, which she reluctantly accepts only because it includes a trip to Paris. Eventually, her snobbish attitude toward the job softens, and Jo begins to enjoy the work and the company of her handsome photographer.

Stanley Donen from "Funny Face" was one of the best music that came out of Paramount, a studio is not known in this genre. Recently we saw the DVD format seems to have been transferred with great care that the colors are a dynamic aspect, something that was not the case with the technique used at that time that made the colors fade. The Funny Face film owes its appeal to Audrey Hepburn, an actress not known for being a singer or a dancer, but had enough for the charm of its own movie. The link with the great Fred Astaire well worth it because Mr. Astaire was always a player who had enough chemistry with his leading ladies. Ms. Hepburn Givenchy dress and how it carries in itself is one of the best assets "Funny Face." The other surprise of the film: Funny Face is Kay Thompson, who plays magazine editor Maggie Prescott. Ms. Thompson made an excellent contribution to the DivX Movie Funny Face as the woman who not only ruled that the fashion of the day should be as shown in the pages of the magazine. The songs of George Gershwin was pleased with the original music composed for the musical by Roger Edens, Adolph Deutsch Gersh and Leonard. The big picture of Ray June shows in Paris at its best. Stanley Donen With all the elements are in place and we are left with this music that will delight audiences forever.
Fine cuisine but music - Stanley Donen assuming "American in Paris". Astaire is too old to be plausible related Hepburn (who are supposed to believe that it is unattractive in woolen clothes and glasses. She looks good in a garbage bag). The DVD film Funny Face seems to take place in a universe where Fred Astaire never ages, the difference in their ages is not even an issue as a souvenir. dances are rather disappointing, with the exception of Audrey Hepburn "Basil Metabolism" beatnik sequence. Beautifully photographed with style, everyone is doing well but there is no real substance. Good Gershwin songs culled from a handful of plays (including the original "Funny Face," which was a better show starring Fred and Adele Astaire), most versions often lower-making rules. Plot is taken from the original musical at all. This Funny Face Musical film just seems so out of place at the time - making fun of beatnik only says how long has gone Donen, Astaire, and certainly by Gershwin. Must have felt like a relic of the audience in the 50s: it could be a valuable heirloom for the fans today.
