| This Romper Stomper Action movie is brilliant. Has great players, real-Nazi new music, good editing ... Before seeing it, you should know that skinheads had not caused the terrible lifestyle The film: Romper Stomper American History X is not so. Romper Stomper is very entertaining and realistic. | I am sure that people may have dismissed this Romper Stomper film as a tribute to Nazi white power. On the contrary, it gives a good picture of what happens when people can seek some control over their lives. Nazi-ism is scapegoating and fascism disguised as guilt, and this movie: Romper Stomper is used to paint a picture of desolation and despair. White power and hatred of immigrants, are not what this Romper Stomper film is. This is the friendship and the need to belong to something. Russell Crowe is powerful Hando - I could not take my eyes off him. Hando using magnetism to call their ideology, thus creating control and power for himself. Things begin to unravel when Gabe, the girl that comes between Hando and Davey, launches out of the cellar Hando has enjoyed over his small crowd. Remember what Orwell said: absolute power corrupts absolutely? Well, so does the arrogance. The arrogance and lack of respect for one's fellow man, regardless of race or creed, are key players in this plot. I would have been over Davey (Daniel Pollock) in this movie, and I feel I have learned from his real life suicide in the weeks after its completion. I recommend this DivX film Romper Stomper for people who are interested in how poverty, ignorance, powerlessness and changing strangers hell on earth capable of indiscriminate violence. |
| My best friend recognizes American History X is better, but I disagree. Stomper break is much better. American History X had sometimes obvious flaws in the reasoning stage. I thought it was a little strange how the neo-Nazis into their old friends in such a short time (I know they're right) and how it seemed as if it was only moronic footsoldiers, blindly following orders FAQ common man. It's a bit superficial to dismiss people as easy as that. Although I thought the scene at the table AHX was brilliantly directed, written and performed, did not seem too AHX often went wrong in ways that I mentioned earlier. Norton is one of my favorite actors and gives a brilliant performance, but (and perhaps important part of Australia), but I just find the characters to be more endearing Breaking the plot and more realistic. It is true that today has more features and Breaking AHX is less bold in its scope - essentially a history of only two "brothers" fighting for a girl, but he tells his story in a much more poignant. (SPOILER) Who can forget how well Russell Crowe appeared on the scene of his death on the beach. | Wow. This was recommended by a coworker and I must say I liked this movie. In particular, the sequence of gang warfare. There are about 15 minutes straight with the brutal violence and not arms. Awesome. Good background, and with a bizarre love triangle, sexual abuse from their parents, and epilepsy. Russell Crowe gives a bravura performance as a Nazi lover Hando, the leader of a gang of racist thugs hell-bent on giving a good drubbing to immigrants who have taken over his neighborhood. Romper Stomper is a brutal and look at the ugly face of prejudice and futility of anger and violence. Hando the band was a mass of seething hatred and ignorance, lashing at those who do not understand. The inevitable result is pain and suffering (and not just for those who get their heads cracked by the bovver-booted thug children). No one is allowed a happy ending in this film, everyone ends up dead, almost dead, or at least get a good hit. With excellent performances by everyone involved, this disturbing look at youth and blind hatred, it is necessary and well worth a look. |
| I remember when this hearing was that one of the actors did a stellar performance. Years line finally get to see Romper Stomper around, and that the international superstar actor Russell Crowe! And it does give an excellent performance (on par with everything you have done already). In fact everyone has been very credible and riveting performances with well-controlled and the time of the direction of Geoffrey Wright. In general, production and history are above par and is very easy to get sucked in to everything. But I have to wonder what the overall purpose of the main neo-Nazi skinheads are gone. Although there was a sense of futileness all racial violence going on, does not seem to be a statement in the wake of the film. The story starts as a look at a package of "skinheads" and ends as a human story of two friends and the girl that finally helped the fans become the leader in their relationship. The fact that they were skinheads do not seem to have central importance for the history, the two friends could have been simple thieves, which is part of a gang or even Wall Street tycoons and the story could have taken the same route. So at the end I was left wondering, "What was the point of adding the race card, if no statement being made?" However, fascinating Romper Stomper is a Romper Stomper movie that portrays the self-destructive hatred that results with excellent performances by drivers. |
