The purpose of the program set up by the Pentagon, called the 'Human Hibernation Project,' is designed so that the military can save their best men for when they're needed most. According to the officers heading the project, too many times the talents and expensive training of the best pilots and soldiers go to waste during times of peace. So they enlist Bauers (Wilson), the most under-achieving average guy they've got, to be the test subject for the initial hibernation experiment. Also participating in the top-secret program is Rita (Rudolph), a prostitute who agreed to take part in exchange for dropping some criminal charges against her, among other things. Of course, the experiment, which was to last only a year, goes under due to the arrest of Officer Collins, who is busted for heading a prostitution ring. Seeing as though he was in charge of the experiment, one of the only ones who knew of its existence, and 'due to a lot of top-secret red tape... and the massive scandals and base closure that followed, Joe and Rita were forgotten about.

We just see this DVD film Idiocracy in Austin Texas in the Alamo South Lamar yesterday afternoon. It had me laughing out loud many times! The scene on the thoughts of Albert Einstein on humanity hit me again and again and I could not stop laughing. It is a pity that is not in the theaters, I know a lot of friends who are dying to see this movie! "Welcome to Costco, I love you." ... great work to all participants! Also, if I see it, be sure to stay until the end of the credits as well! I will have to see my family again this weekend for sure! If you're a fan of office space and BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD then you must go see this movie. It is a classic and no one knows who is out! So if you're in the mood to see something funny this weekend, definitely check it out.

As social satire, Idiocracy is as good as Office Space, but with a broader scope. To criticize this Idiocracy Sci-Fi movie for being too childish because of the potty humor is kind of losing the point, I think. Certainly there are fart jokes etc, but are not really intended to be funny to the audience - which exist to define the status of "culture" in the world of 2500 AD Joe's visit, as background to the strange state of affairs that awake. The true mood of the Idiocracy Sci-Fi film lies in the many sight gags and attitudes in this society of the future that are only a shadow of what it was that we face in our everyday lives, and should serve as a warning. My favorite is the representation of Fox News. Subtle brightness in the Idiocracy movie lies in the fact that it is dug into "smart" people, and average Joes as the protagonists. Note the times in the DivX film Idiocracy when Joe and Rita almost subconsciously conform to the idiots around them, and you realize that Idiocracy is not created to take on any group of persons, in particular, but in the culture of stupidity in general. I do not know what to say about the "conspiracy theory for" Fox's behavior in the release of this film, but if you do not play in your local theater, so require. All we have to see this film, if not for the social commentary, at least for the fart jokes ...

I've never seen a worse Idiocracy Sci-Fi movie this release. And that's a shame, because this is the funniest DivX Movie Idiocracy of the year! You might think an ad with the line "From the director of" Office Space "" would be sufficient to justify a big news! But there are no ads, no posters, no website, I doubt the stars, even knew who left this weekend. What is 20th Century Fox thinking? Mike Judge's comedy science fiction takes place in 2505, but could become reality in about 10 years (if things continue as they are.) Luke Wilson and Maya Rudolph get frozen in a secret experiment in the wake of the army and a future full of inbred zombie consumers slows. It reminds me of Woody Allen's Idiocracy Sci-Fi film of "Sleeper," "RoboCop," "Planet of the Apes," "Blade Runner" and "Red" and the great "Futurama." Try to see it before Fox burns all prints!

Despite some shortcomings and missed opportunities, the Idiocracy Sci-Fi offers a brilliant social commentary, attacking populist anti-intellectualism. By making the protagonist a "regular" guy, the Idiocracy Sci-Fi film tries to bring down to earth viewpoints and opinions of the social elite of intelligent society. Initially, Joe is just regular. However, when it is transported in the future, is suddenly a genius. However, despite the superior intelligence, which lacks many of the skills to effectively prevent communication with its audience intellectually inferior. His first successful communication relies on the supernatural when he says that plants have spoken with him. But the Idiocracy Sci-Fi does not conclude with a message about how to operate the elite. Despite the intellectual superiority, the Idiocracy Sci-Fi concludes that the elites should work to help those less intelligent. Joe as president ends, and in doing so, he is able to promote intelligence among all.
