I was a few years out of high school when they came out, beaten and really close to home for me. After that I saw, I watched some of my old friends, most of them also saw it too, and we said yes, "that's us!" Many of the characters is a lot like the people who went to school with. I knew that my part of Stoners, asparagus, girls and ensure that people do not hang up bigger in your life. Even today, I can sit and watch this and I have fond memories of my old friends, and it used to have fun. This was during the post-disco, before the era of greed of the 80s that was too short. I am surprised to find this film: Fast Times at Ridgemont High is still popular view that is far from politically correct. I will admit, I do not want my children to some of the things that these high school kids, but it is a reminder of how much fun was had.
Like "American Graffiti," you will see not only a classic, but also see the breeding ground for many of the larger players. Sean Penn, Anthony Edwards, Eric Stoltz, Phoebe Cates, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Forrest Whitaker all in this film: Fast Times at Ridgemont High appeared in the early stages of their careers. Even Oscar winner Nicolas Cage (who appears under his real name Copolla) was in this film, although in a small role. This film: Fast Times at Ridgemont High is a look ahead at some of the actors who would become major stars of DivX Movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High and television. As for the Fast Times at Ridgemont High Drama movie itself, which was quite a look at how high school really was in the eighties, with all the pressures of sex, and the cartels, of course, drugs. In fact, I went to Catholic high school was almost a carbon copy of Ridgemont. The DivX film Fast Times at Ridgemont High also manages to combine comedy with drama, showing how school was and still is enough. This film: Fast Times at Ridgemont High is definitely a classic.
Adolescents start becoming more aware of sex, relationships and the need to make extra money on this stretch of high school life story. A movie: Fast Times at Ridgemont High that probably will not do any justice for me or better reviewer for the simple reason that much of what is happening has been done many times since. But I still believe that this is the best melodrama surrounding the school and still makes me laugh with their truths and a clever line. ( "Do you want romance, we can not even have cable TV!") Sean Penn is a standout as the stoned surfer who, unfortunately, lives far from the sea. I do not think any teacher has time to go around someone's home (as here) to continue the classes, but it is a fun place! What is presented here was taken as a model for other films that tried to promote sex, comedy or drama - but this DVD film Fast Times at Ridgemont High is a lesson in balance and stepping lightly others lost. Nothing is too big an agreement - not even the abortion. Fast Times was fun when I saw him twenty years ago and today is still fun. It is true that many of the players came to do more and better job, so it's great to see that even when they had their front teeth and even a bit of puppy fat. This is especially true of the great Jennifer Jason Leigh - one of the finest American actresses of her generation. Not great here, just very good.
Fast Times in Ridgemont High (1982) **** Sean Penn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Judge Reinhold, Phoebe Cates, Ray Walston, Robert Rowanus, Brian Becker, Eric Stoltz, Anthony Edwards, Forest Whitaker, Vincent Schiavelli, Nicolas Cage. Hilarious and accurate description of life in 1980, the high school ranks among the best comedies of the distress, anomie, and above all - the uncertainty - including "American Graffiti" and "Dazed and Confused." Bullets with a fine ensemble and in particular from Leigh stars (that's never been so innocent) and Penn as stoned surfer Jeff Spicoli ( "People on ludes should not drive!" "Hey, Bud, huh, we will party! ") is a comic gem of a performance. Great soundtrack and stable direction by Amy Heckerling and too-dash to meet the future filmmaker Cameron Crowe ( "Say Anything ..."). Little better: Mr. convinced that they are all part of the drugs. Watch strong Crowe's wife, singer Nancy Wilson of rock as the hot babe Reinhold tries to impress its use in traffic fast food pirate costume.
Fast Times At Ridgemont High is not much to it except a handful of very good players when they were just good actors. The Fast Times at Ridgemont High film revolves around a number of high school stereotypes of the early-1980s, the innocent girl, sexually experienced and girls, the nerdy, but smart guys, people that help cool the nerdy kids, and, course, the Stoner / burn out. The problem with all these characters is not to become more than stereotypes, but the writer and director obviously tried very hard to be so. The DivX film Fast Times at Ridgemont High actually worked better than more of a drama with elements of comedy, but trying to be a teen comedy with a pair of dramatic elements thrown in. It's really sad, it seems that all these characters could have a lot of depth only if the director and writer tried to explore some more. For example, there are all the "best friends boy get his girlfriend pregnant" subplot that is resolved very heart and half without much thought. There are a few amusing moments, however, as when a character is on a date and realizes he has forgotten his wallet at home, and he ends his bid until your friend is able to continually drop out orders Cokes. Unfortunately, these scenes have just lost in the fog of that plot disorganized. Forget about this DVD movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High and go see The Breakfast Club again.
