Ferngully is an example of how to make a DVD movie FernGully: The Last Rainforest without being boring education. It is the story of an endangered rainforest in Australia for human development. Zak, one of the employees of a team that is destroying the forest to build a road cut in a fairytale (Chrysta) and submitted to the magical world that was destroyed. The animation is good, with rich colors and beautiful visual effects of forests. The characters are well designed and fun, Batty the bat the most hilarious. The music is pleasant, too, with modern rhythms that blend well with the fast pace of the film. The best song is done by the bad Hexxus literally a slimy demon that perfectly represents the greed of modern society. This is a small jewel in the world dominated by Disney animation. Do not miss it. |
I suppose that one could see how innocent Ferngully guff for young (with the exception of a sequence that most teenagers get wet Crysta and Zak together), but see this 1992 DVD film FernGully: The Last Rainforest from the perspective of 2005 looks more organic propaganda for children. We learned that technology (with the exception of cassette tape players, which are fun) death and destruction, the spirits of the wise are recycled in life, the trees feel pain when cut, the research cruel to animals is carried out by logging companies and are raw in the side of evil. These days, you can pay a lot of money and learn all these things at a university. I guess it was not too surprised when I read that this FernGully: The Last Rainforest movie was launched on Earth Day-Worship (Nature good - the bad man.) Robin Williams is funny as Batty the bat, better than the same routine of moving fast, which made for the genie from Aladdin (also 1992). |
A band of fairies and their human allies must keep a primitive rain forest from destruction by a logging company conscienceless (not to mention an evil entity venomously voiced by Tim Curry). Although essentially a dress Darwinian morality in the most delicious half of children's cartoons, FERNGULLY is really an entertaining and exciting piece of entertainment. Steeped in equal measures in Australia and the mythology of modern politics, this FernGully: The Last Rainforest Fantasy shows that the cartoons do not need to fall on anvils and wascally wabbits. Beware Robin Williams, who is always as much fun as a manic bat. |
I remember loving this when it first came out and I was only about 10 years old. I recently met a couple of books that I had saved from the DVD film FernGully: The Last Rainforest and I think back on this. I have not seen in years, but I just bought and can not help but love it. I love the pictures, colors and overall look of the film. And, of course, Robin Williams as Batty Koda was hilarious. In the description of human beings, "They walk around like 'Hello Helen!" "I love the message of most of all, and it does a good job of representing the greed and the destruction of our time through images, actions and dialogue. I particularly like the way the fairy Crysta is so contact with nature and their feelings that can touch a tree and literally see the flow of energy in it. It shows human resources, Zak, who, like all other human being out of touch with the nature and their feelings. Gradually, however, he also feels, and everything that was for someone to wake him to it. That's all it takes for us, too. We needed something like this FernGully: The Last Rainforest Fantasy movie which was to awaken some of us what we are doing. It may sound like a cliche or a conference, but one that needs to be said and I am grateful to Ferngully and the people behind it believed that enough the message we are trying to convey. I read it out loud and clear. |
As is often the critical Ebert has a good and comprehensive review. Simple story, the fairies live under the canopy of the jungle, in the belief that all human beings have died. An early one flies above the deck, saw smoke and a mountain in the distance, almost becomes an eagle snack, and then goes on a mission to find out what is happening. She discovers the man destroying a rainforest near the wood, which are represented as insensitive idiot slobs blue collar. His jungle Ferngully is close and must find a way to stop it. With the help of some friends. The animation is very colorful and very good, and the vocal characterizations are fine. The DVD picture and sound quality are fine, but the only extras are trailers for other films. |
Disney is not a nice place (I think) animated feature. The animation is a bit flat, but colorful. Åre pleasant character, fortunately not in a way forced. The FernGully: The Last Rainforest Fantasy film is very easy to take, but it could have used more delirious comic scenes with the bat that expressed by Wiliams songs and less than smooth. |
When I was a kid I loved this FernGully: The Last Rainforest film and still enjoy this day. The colors are wonderful and the animation. No one could enjoy this movie. I do not have the low score. Robin Williams and Tim Curry are the great voices of the film. Add much to the film. I would recommend this DivX film FernGully: The Last Rainforest for a family. Also just for kids, too. Drawings catchy, enjoyable entertainment, fun and a story to tell. Another plus is that it has a great moral. Thus, parents need not worry. Every time my little cousins nanny, this is a DVD film FernGully: The Last Rainforest I'd let them see any day. I wish there was a possibility of obtaining a higher rating. But sometimes you just have to deal with it. I feel like this DivX film FernGully: The Last Rainforest deserves at least a 7.0. We can only hope, right? 8 / 10 |
