| A great romantic comedy. Kim Basinger is superb in the role of a cabaret singer. She is beautiful, right away, and really put on a song. Radiating real star quality and the staging of the songs is impressive. The script is fresh and fun, and creates an artificial reality that is charming validated by the emotion that conveys truths. Alec Baldwin is attractive and natural. Elizabeth Shue is perfectly cast in a subsidiary role with conviction and commitment. Åre Baldwin least four friends and the major flaws in mise en scene. A touching, funny and understated film. If, like me, who has gone through the video box eons, off the disc art graphic design, take a deep breath and give it a chance. |
| The DVD movie Marrying Man, The purports to be based on a true partner. Probably the most interesting couple real and complex, but certainly not as attractive. | I can not understand why the ratings and comments on this Marrying Man, The Comedy are mediocre to poor as they are. This was a fun movie. Sure, it's a bit silly and play with history and facts, but is essentially harmless, but funny and fast-moving and entertaining. Not all films have to be The English Patient? Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger do a good job lite-hearted comedy about a couple who kept finding each other again and again! Friends Baldwin, Paul Reiser, Fisher Stevens, Peter Dobson, Steve Hytner and are very supportive, because the players are fun and exciting about the trials and tribulations of this love story. Robert Baldwin Lodge is fantastic as the ex-boyfriend's father, a Hollywood power broker Baldwin hell bent on destroying the lives of the characters after the jilts not once but twice to her daughter played by Elizabeth Shue. But in many ways is Armand Assante who steals the DVD movie Marrying Man, The with its image of Bugsy Siegel. Assante is so smooth and controlled, as credible as a cold-blooded gangster / murderer. He plays the role with a real sense of comedy timing. The cast is first rate, the Marrying Man, The Comedy film has some nice twists and turns, and will quickly make any good film. I liked it and I'm betting if you like light comedy like heart too. |
| This Marrying Man, The Comedy movie on the face is full of garbage. Bulk harmless, but all the same garbage. However, it has the redeeming feature of being very funny in some places. The madman makes this fun story, if not realistic. The Marrying Man, The film is worth seeing, just do not expect anything earth-moving. |
| This is the Marrying Man, The film where Alec Balwin and Kim Baisinger fall in love, FOR REAL! Their chemistry is strong and clear ... and married soon after! Yes, it is very funny in places, an emotional tribute to the madness under the influence of love ... OH and so true. In large measure, in my opinion, because of the REAL emotions among the main characters (not acting) was fantastic. Alec is the quintessential male victim of love - totally illogical and totally dedicated to the woman who seduced completely. And come to think that a man willing to die for it is better than the meal ticket that was in the mob guy ... to the detriment of all. I'm not a romantic comedy, but if there is a real goddess of beauty itself (as Kim), which makes the whole plot is really sexy worth viewing. The movie: Marrying Man, The is a typical kind of classic Hollywood Marrying Man, The Comedy with a plot of the operetta sweat. He is great, the images are so Kim colorful and shining as Rita Hayworth in "Gilda" when she sings the hit songs of Cole Porter and cooperation. Those who think that such films are idiots need to understand that people in this world needs these nice stories. It is a very professional type of entertainment with glamorous stars. | If you like Damon Runyon (of course, Neil Simon is not!), Probably 12 to 7, which will love this movie. Provides terrific representation of the "old Las Vegas," as are the costumes. As the period of performance, this DVD film Marrying Man, The is more fun now than when it was published in 1991. Almost as good as "Let it Ride" (Richard Dryfus). If you are looking for reality, you will not find here.
