| What a wonderful movie! What a wonderful cast. What a sensitive, troubling story. --- Everything comes together to the music, film, history --- to produce a beautiful film. A very different role of Sophia Loren. As you might expect that out. But so does everyone else. The scene in the book is a storehouse of great moments of cinema. The silver screen has invincible power when used so masterfully. And how nice to see them play in Toronto for a change instead of acting as a support for some other place. Some films like this do much to revive the city devastated by the image of concerts and tours of the Stones by Conan O'Brien. This DVD film Between Strangers is a keeper! |
| This DivX Movie Between Strangers was better than expected, well acted and the little dramas were sincere. That has Deborah Kara Unger, Mira Sorvino And many other actors of high caliber in small parts. But there are some negative aspects to keep it from greatness. 3 hooligans were too disturbing for this kind of film: Between Strangers and made me want to wring his neck. There is no justice in the movie. The connection between the three women is too far fetched and virtually non-existent. The end does not make sense, why are these 3 women waiting at the same table at the airport, they all have different destinations. The girl has no meaning other than a poorly constructed plot of the three women. Also unnecessary because this story has a link between them is at a crossroads between past and present, until something new in your life. Also, the reunion with a photographer accidentally Angolian, as mentioned here before, it is too casual. | Everything about this film: Between Strangers was perfect - the three leading characters are played with such depth and moderation! Although I have never been in the position of any of these women (thankfully), I feel like I could relate to their emotions, their ambivalence, their sadness and their maximum strength. If ever there was a film: Between Strangers that showed the power of living through adversity, that's it! Gérard Depardieu as an intuitive was beautiful friend - it was a little, but his presence always moved forward the movie. Sophia Loren's husband was a perfect foil humans - both had shattered the dreams and took two different paths in dealing with him, but both roads are completely understandable. Although his character could have been horribly despicable (and, boy! Some of her dialogue was surprisingly average), not a monster. Even the thugs were a dimension. Miro Sorvino took my breath, Deborah Unger was awaiting moderation and Sophia Loren - well, his best role ever. This is a DVD film Between Strangers for the heart down, impossible for the crossing, and for those who like to hope - not happy - endings. |
