| What is seen in retrospect as a classic action Total Recall Thriller Verhoeven, Total Recall is a punchy, edgy, but ultimately to incorporate the science fiction adventure. It works with many of the same themes as Blade Runner, with its realities and manufactured the deadly struggle for political control of that altered state. Schwarzenegger plays (Douglas) Quaid (called by its name throughout the film), a nobody who suspects sinister intrigue footing after a mind-implant shorts. This may be a first role of Sharon Stone, but plays like a real snake Lori - is a strong showing. Dr. Ronny Cox is the bad character (it is rather a pantomime where all the configuration and after) Cohaagen Vilos, a character type to which he is better than the buttons of the appropriate types of fair Beverley Hills Cop films. The SFX are rudimentary, but in particular on the screen plates into Verhoeven to maximum effect, as a virtuoso painter. 6 / 10 |

The plot allows for excessive violence, but it is also a great story that has more than the interest with twists and turns and not Douglas or knowing fully what is happening. The action is great - or even 10 years, and tension is found in all solid. Schwarzenegger makes his usual invincible muscles happy and expected things blasting the crowds, but also in other areas too. Tictin is good, but never repeated this success for her. The bad (or maybe not?) Are the best features - sound bad as Ironside and Cox are as good as they were in other roles and Sharon Stone is good as Douglas wife. In general, this follows the trend of ultra-violence Verhoeven do satire and clever plots and work well together (Robocop, Starship Troopers and east), compared to their tendency to make the trash! | Total Recall works for most of its length and convoluted Hitchcockian thriller science fiction. Only in the outcome that matters ... despite being an indulgence in sadism that might offend sensibilities ... delicate cartoonish and unrealistic (eg, exposure to the environment of Mars really be a race between quick freezing and choking to death). While the DVD movie Total Recall has flaws - things that tend to ruin the suspension of disbelief - that are not easy to overlook, there are a number of scenes that we particularly rewarding repeat viewings. There are, for example, Doug (Schwarzenegger), a visit to Quaid Memories, Inc., the seller and the pitch slyly reveals the entire plot of the Total Recall film beforehand. Another is meeting in the hotel room where the Martian Doug is involuntarily for a dream - in the form of short memories - it is activated, and another series of predictions in particular for the third act is exposed. Finally, the scene where the villainous brain (Ronny Cox) showed his impressive machinations described as a mindbender.
