Norman Spencer, a university research scientist, is growing more and more concerned about his wife, Claire, a retired concert cellist who a year ago was involved in a serious auto accident, and who has just sent off her daughter Caitlin (Norman's stepdaughter) to college. A good film, but really predictable. A young man is chased by a girl who had an affair with her husband years before. The ghost of it seems to be trying to say something to the woman, as a warning. What do you think? Who do you think killed her? Well, but prove their worth ...

A Hitchcock-style thriller that has twists and turns throughout, and a bunch of decoys. The plot and script of this are very good, and the What Lies Beneath Drama movie offers excitement it promises. Perhaps not very transparent in places, with almost too much to try to distract the audience and not enough of the story. Harrison Ford is mumbling, of wood, but ultimately unconvincing. Michelle Pfieffer looks good in this and carries out the unclear role and almost paranoid. Despite early reviews and opinions about age differences, the two work well as a larger screen. A bad thriller that will not satisfy the desire for entertainment.

What is underneath is a great movie. It is a horror film: What Lies Beneath that has less gore and screams that works very effectively. The plot is a constant throughout nerving a pace which is great. References to some movies are so clear and the music was used in the final Psycho. This is one of the best horror movies I've seen in a while. If you do not see or rent the video or better yet ... purchase. It really is great and flawless. Harrison Ford and Michelle Phieffer are a great couple on screen and could have got a couple more to appear. 10/10 If you like this try: Psycho The Haunting Haunted House on Hill
