| Well, I heard a lot from this Blonde Ambition Comedy is bad, is not well written, without success, in limited release, Jessica Simpson in it, blah, blah, blah ... | It was a silly film: Blonde Ambition with a predictable plot and terrible acting! Willy Nelson is so rigid as their braids. The Blonde Ambition movie just seemed a very long advertisement for lipstick bright red wearing Jessica Simpson - especially since there are so many close-ups on his face. The premise was not funny and as I said - soooooooo predictable. Whatever money was spent on making this Blonde Ambition film was a shameful waste. Any reference to other old Marilyn Monroe films do not improve your viewing Blonde Ambition at all. It was also incredible - Jessica Simpson is able to step into a position of executive secretary in the drop of a hat - it was laughable! |
| By now you should know about this film, the Jessica Simpson "pump" that was very direct to video (limited anemic theatrical run). Basically, Ms. Simpson Katie travels from a small town in Oklahoma to visit her boyfriend, to the surprise of it, only to find him in bed with another woman. She is stranded, but has a friend (Rachel Leigh Cook, whom I wish we saw more often in the film), which allows your stay. Katie ends up getting a job through two coworkers collusion (Penelope Ann Miller and the always amusing Andy Dick) who are using Katie to get the company president (Larry Miller) overthrown. This is strictly ab movie, its not meant to be deep. Jessica Simpson is not a great actress by any means, but she is very beautiful and never really bothered. The DivX Movie Blonde Ambition is watchable in that it is an abomination, but his pull lint. In a cameo, Penny Marshall is funny (in a subtle joke about Milwaukee made me laugh), and there is an amusing scene involving priests Norwegian (not read too much into this). Therefore, not horrible, but easy to skip. Your safe bet is to watch on TV if it does. Again, not good, but not a great disaster. |
