Soderbergh has done again with another great film. Better than Ocean's Eleven and moving and more innovative than the original Ocean's Twelve is a fun, entertaining, progressive, classic and colorful. The soundtrack is impressive and a great asset to the movie, all music old and new Italian David Holms is great. The picture of Chris and Connie Soderbergh is innovative and surprising, and always have the classic style Soderbergh. The plot is great. Which takes in not expect and it's not your stereotypical Ocean's Twelve Thriller movie robbery. Watch Ocean's Twelve entertained for two hours.
I absolutely loved Ocean's Eleven. It is well together, contains great performances, and it was delightful. The sequel is a pathetic attempt to capitalize on a franchise. Hopefully that will never be considered a black eye on the success of its predecessor. The problem with the movie: Ocean's Twelve is its similarity to the first movie. Once in, the synergy between George Clooney and Brad Pitt is entertaining. Twelve overuse this relationship. Eleven took the time to explain why so many thieves were necessary for recruitment. Twelve seemed to struggle to fit all the characters in the plot. I left the theater with the feeling that I dress very cheap imitation of a great thing indeed, as the reproduction of the Birds of Mexico entitled peaks. I'm still waiting for Brad Pitt to leave me a voicemail apologizing for the Ocean's Twelve movie in its entirety.
Three years after Ocean's Eleven is the band to return in this sequel. This time the elusive group of thieves and swindlers meet abroad and travel to Europe to take another elaborate heist after vengeful casino magnate Terry Benedict (Garcia) tracks down in search of redemption. Little do they dream that they face stiff competition from a self-proclaimed criminal brain (Cassel) that determines the UpStage to try them. The latest in a long line of Hollywood sequels lukewarm, the casting could have had fun making this film, but that does not mean the public and that drags on for more than two hours with the story of calm, self-aware humor, and banal dialogue. One particularly embarrassing joke falls flat and leaves you thinking how desperately the producers to get cheap laughs. The same group of talented actors who made the original so special is lost here, as too convoluted script lacks the wit, style, or sense of purpose. **
