Mays Gilliam, a Washington D.C. neighborhood Alderman, is about to be red-lined out of his job. I always thought that Chris Rock is a genius when it comes to stand-up, but the films that played the leading role, for some reason, have not been good. The jokes have been copied from his routine of walking and the script has been so well. But this is different. It was really very funny. I had a good gutlaugh several times and the Head of State Comedy is pretty good point, too. Both Chris Rock and Bernie Mac did a good job here. If you like Chris Rock and Bernie Mac's stand, I advice you to watch this.

I had planned to avoid the "Head of State" with Chris Rock the sanctimonious "saint you" Restaurants have become mighty tiresome. I have read some comments, however, argued that the Head of State Comedy movie was more entertaining and fun to type and easier to see that many people expected. I and my pleasant surprise it was quite funny. Rock bitter and self-serving diatribe also absent. I would not call a "feel good" movie, but is basically brilliant mentality and relatively high. I had fun! There are many plot faults and other details that could be criticized --- but they are all skippable the name of entertainment. And to think it was Rock's directorial debut --- well, especially with that perspective, it is an impressive first effort. Overall, I gave it an 8 / 10.
