| This was a very good movie, taking into account not just cool science fiction movies a lot. It had a very good story, like a remake of a 1950 nightclub black cinema. Really had an early R. Heinlein or Phillip K. Dick felt the same way. The effects were ordered if not innovative and Eddie Murphy has done a credible job. Randy Quaid was funny and annoying at the same time. He also had a very funny cameo as Pam Greir Eddie's mother. A good, solid film. It is not perfect by any means with many errors, but then the science of Hollywood makes a lot anyway. This reminds me of the film: Adventures of Pluto Nash, The Total Recall if I had to put a name on it. The mood was much more sophisticated than I expected and there was no Uranus jokes, contrary to other reviews. If you are going to lie, try a little harder. |
| This movie: Adventures of Pluto Nash, The was so savagely criticized desperately wanted to like it, to demonstrate to all evil and pretend that Eddie Murphy was back with a bang and with his funny bone as vibrant than ever had. I wanted it all wrong ... until I got to see the Adventures of Pluto Nash, The Comedy movie and I am bitterly disappointed that such blatant waste of resources. Not that E. Murphy 's name is a quality film, but at least as it used to have some dignity, usually high-level character actor Joe Pantoliano (just watch "Memento") also provides something of a race low here. The visual part of the movie: Adventures of Pluto Nash, The is often spectacular, but nothing can overcome the increasingly syndrome hollywoodian have scripts and dialogues that seem as if they were written by drunken monkeys, I mean zero intelligence, subtlety zero zero consistency all of which amount to a huge mess of half baked concepts that never gel into anything resembling a decent movie.
